I can't stand this. I've gotten sicker! I didn't know that was possible, and just 1 week before my fucking Mock Exams!
For about 5 weeks, I've had more of a subtle burning pain now and then in my throat thanks to this infection, now, like in the first few days, it's gone back to a sharp pain like a normal sore throat.
I've found out, this infection also heightens the risk of nose bleeds. I found that out this morning, at 4:45, half asleep, it took me fifteen minutes to realise I didn't have a runny nose, I had a nose bleed - and a bad one. I was awake from then until I was supposed to get up.
I managed to convince my mam to let me off school; good thing too. I slept until two, and when I was woken up by my dad, I was dead tired. I slept for ages, yet I was dead tired. That's what this damn thrush thing does to you. Then throughout the day, my throat got worse.
I've cut out yeast completely, I've had no alcohol or fermented products, and I've cut out 80% of sugars, I've been taking stuff for it, prescribed by my doctor - who then didn't prescribe anything, yet I still got it from the Chemist (just ran out yesterday), and then these "Healthy Alternatives", I don't usualy even listen to people who use them, but Christ, I'll fucking try anything. Our cleaner (Jehova's Witness), had it before, it took her months to get over, she said the alternative crap really really helps, and she's going to give us the names of other products. My cousin, from whose mother I got the anti-infection crap without a prescription from, also had it, and it took him months to get over. It turns out his inhalers (for asthma) were the cause. I checked mine out, and yes, it does state a side affect is oral thrush (Note if you check up what thrush is, it gives you all these disgusting photos... Yea, my throat doesn't look like that, thankfully).
Next step is to cut out milk. How the fuck am I supposed to live without tea? Or cereal?
My diet mostly consisted of tea and cereal, tea and brown bread and fucking butter. Then the dinner, then about 5 cups of tea again, then maybe a bowl of cereal before I sleep, then you know, random stuff, maybe soup, pasta etc... (It also says those who drink a lot of milk are at risk of contracting it)
We're going to ring the docter and ask her to refer us to a Throat, Nose and Ear specialist. She's a shite doctor.
