VCU crap
I'm spending so much goddamn money! $120 for art supplies for Surface Research. {WITH a 20% off back to school coupon and my plaza savings card} and of course, my books, which were actually only around $300 since as an art major I don't have as many books. I have to get a nice digital camera and a big memory card for Time Studio, a required art foundation class. I met that teacher today, and she's pretty cool, but I've never ever dealt with video editing, piecing pictures together into video, etc. I'm a little scared about succeeding in that class.
I met my "focused inquiry 112" teacher, and she's pretty cool. I have like seriously ten assignments to do before wednesday though, since most people had their first classes last week and we all have to be at the same pace. good fucking deal that I spent all day yesterday reading the surprise required book, The Dew Breaker by Edwidge Danticat. It's okay that I never finished Covering by Kenji Yoshino, though, since I am in a class of kids that took Focused Inquiry 111 last spring and they wanted to incorporate this year's freshman's summer reading into the second half of these sophomores' curriculum.
I only have Surface Research in the morning{gotta carry a backpack full of art shit and a gigantic sketch pad w/ no portfolio on the walk of death} and no classes after that, but I don't want to spend ALL day doing english shit, so I'm gonna shower in cold water right quick and get on some of them essays!
