I had the honour of being one of Lesley's ushers during her wedding almost 2 weeks ago. It was a beautiful ceremony and I was one of the many who were overjoyed at this Happy Event. Great credit must be given to the bride, groom and wedding party who put so much hard work into making sure everything ran as perfect as possible. Simply wonderful to see them enter the next stage of their lives together.
Even though I alluded in past entries I wouldn't be posting anymore, it's more appropriate that I end my LJ tenure with this entry dedicated to Lesley, as afterall it was she that introduced me to the LJ community in the first place. I don't get to say this very much, but I value her and David's friendship a great deal and I feel blessed to know such an amazing couple who have such a love for each other that is deeply moving. Thanks Les...for everything :).
Unbelievably, I went a little shutter-mad at the wedding and took almost 200 photos. Here are some of my favourites:
Here comes the bride
A touching hug with her proud mom
David is quite a man. He built and designed this stage himself!
In all the sweetness, a moment of levity
A beautiful cake
Les feeding her man...she will do much more of this in the many years to come..
Me with the happy couple!
Annie the Maid of Honour saying her speech.
Me and Rob
What's a wedding without a little girl on girl luv'n?
These subset of pictures I found irresistably cute as it got chilly...and as a result a lot of the girls were warmed by the oversized suit jackets of their significant others. Since Linds had no such person I lent her my jacket.
David and Lesley show us their graceful footwork. Hey...does anyone else recognize "Junglegirl" in the background :)?? So glad she found her "Soosh"
Another touching moment...this time with Lesley's dad
Sophia being silly
Meg and Janey cut the floor
I'm not sure exactly why but I just love this photo of Daryl dipping Annie
Meg switches partners for Roberto
David, the life of the party and centre of attention
Lesley showing us her limbo skillz
The bridesmaids, or as I dub them "Lesley's Army of Hotness", having a great time.
Mugging for the camera. By this time you can tell that not all of us are completely sober.
Stepping back, it's great to realize you've just shared in one of the happiest days of their lives.
A final picture with Lesley before I head back across the border...and hey...the final picture on LJ period. Thanks so much for everything throughout the years Les!
