It sort of strokes something egotistical in me when I hear people I meet picking up on my idiosyncracies in vocabulary. My roommate, for instance, had never heard the term 'buttfucknowhere', which is one I am known to use on occasion while describing a very rural place. Now she says it every other word. She is on the phone with her mother and I have counter her saying it five times just since I walked in. It's also interesting to see just how often people say the words 'dude', 'awesome', and 'seriously' after meeting me. I noticed that Jennie picked up that one a lot from me, to the point where she was sounding just like me. Generally, when this happens, I know it is time to change the things I say xP
I suppose I am simply very influential in the way I speak, even if it's not always the best way to talk :)
Today, as I walked to class verrrry early in the morning, when it didn't seem like anyone was on campus, suddenly, behind me I heard a shout.
"WaaaaassUUUP HALOEGRRRRRL!"
As I am a Haloegrrrrrl (white chick) and there was definitely no one around, I turned around and gave him the peace sign.
He burst out laughing.
I turned around and found out that there was, indeed, another haloegrrrrrl standing right in front of me who was raising her hand in greeting. She appeared out of nowhere, really, I swear xD
It was funny.
