A series of sneaks.
There are days when I absolutely hate technology. I've spent the last hour and a half fighting with my desktop computer. It has decided to no longer recognize the wireless connection or itunes. So I had to pull poor old Mobile-Compy out of the closet where he's been sleeping. Such an old little fellow, but he always takes care of me in a pinch. Currently, Desk-Compy is undergoing a system restore. We'll see if that does anything. I can't imagine I've done something to it, as I don't do much of anything on it except read livejournal. Oh well.
I went shopping downtown yesterday for shoes and ended up coming home with three sweaters. This is (as previously mentioned) my favoritest time of year. I ended up stopping at Westlake center and grabbing something to eat. While I was sitting in their food court, I saw this bird that had somehow managed to get inside of the buildling and it kept flying from window to window, trying to find a way out. It would stop and sit and stare for a while and then start flying at the windows again, hoping that maybe something had changed. It made me very, very sad. The chances of the bird getting out of that building are pretty slim, really. When I worked at Safeway, a bird got into the store once, and we told the boss and she said not to worry about it, that it would leave eventually. And it did, but that's a grocery store, not a building with a ton of floors and different compartmental type areas. It made me very sad to think about it flying around and watching it and not being entirely sure if it would ever get out.
I made a trip back downtown today to buy a moleskine. I've been wanting one for a while and today, I decided, was the perfect day to make this happen. As such, there will likely be less writing here and it will be even less interesting. Huzzah!!
