Summary: pre-series, January 1994. The Jones family have moved to Huntington, Indiana, right in time for the coldest winter on record. John Jones and his two boys are settling into town just fine. On the surface, they seem like just another picture-perfect family. But nothing’s perfect, and they’re not just another family - they’re the Winchesters - so of course it’s not as simple as that.
Sam wishes it really was that simple. Dean wishes Sam would realise that it isn’t; that it’s never going to be. And John? John is on the trail of something bigger than he realises, unwittingly setting the whole family on a collision course with danger. Turns out there’s a reason Indiana is called the crossroads of America - and even though John has been training his sons to be ready for anything, nothing could have prepared them for what they will find here - and what they stand to lose.
