Title: School Daze
Rating: PG-Er..
Pairing: Multiple
Summary: "What have I told you about using that nickname?"        "Only in bed, I know, I know,"

A/N: Alright everyone so here's the dilemma, I do have the fic almost done except for this chapter. For some reason, several trillion different ideas hit me at once so I did the 'smart' thing and wrote them out to see which one I liked better. Problem. I liked them all and I hated them all. I liked them all because they did flow very well with the story, most of them anyway. I hated them all because I could use them but I know I can't use all of them. And since this chapter is kind of crucial I simply can't skip it. Hopefully I'll get it out soon and my apologies for such a delayed (and short) update.

And the Korean Music Festival left me breathless AND Yunho waved at me as he was walking off stage after the encore. At least, that's what I'll keep telling myself because it so totally happened. *dies*

-Chapter Twenty-Five: Part l-

"Pretty," was all Dong Wook had been able to mutter into Jaejoong's ear as the two passed one another. Both boys were hidden amongst the large crowd that had turned up for Rain's party that night. In passing, the YG boy had managed to capture Jaejoong's attention, but only for a brief moment, a moment that went unnoticed by all surrounding parties. A moment meant exclusively for Kim Jaejoong and Kim Jaejoong alone.

That one word caused a wave of warmth and pink to crash over him in an instant. He certainly did not call this stepping back from Dong Wook so that he could give Yunho proper attention, so that Dong Wook could forget about him. Then again, Dong Wook didn't award him the opportunity to actually step back. He was half tempted to simply turn around and follow Dong Wook, but believing that he had more self control than that, he didn't. Instead, he continued to pick his way through the crowd until he reached Changmin's side, who was induldging himself at an arrangement of snacks.

"Always eating," Jaejoong muttered once he was close enough to the youngster, and once he was able to regain at least some of his composure. "Ya, where is everyone else?"

Changmin shoved a small something into his mouth and pointed across the room to where the drinks were being served. There, with a glass in each hand and an almost completely drunken smile, stood Yoochun. Junsu stood sulking at his side and Heechul was downing a shot while Ki Bum shook his head in disapproval, though he had an empty shot glass in his hand and was slightly unsteady on his feet. Jaejoong had to wonder what Kibum was so disappointed in.

Yunho was nowhere to be seen.

Was Yunho picking up alcoholic beverages like the rest of his schoolmates? Jaejoong cocked his head to one side, wondering what the mild mannered Yunho would be like with a large quantity of alcohol in his system. Would he be the giggly type like Yoochun? Laughing at any and everything, funny or not. Would he be the quiet and reflective sort where you wouldn't take notice of his drunken state until he blacked out in the middle of a room? Or was he the angry and aggressive sort?

Jaejoong shuddered at the thought of Yunho being less than his usual kind and caring self. "Changmin-ah, have you seen Yunho around at all?"

"I think he's with Si Won-hyung somewhere in this place." He offered a small shrug of his shoulders before taking in the older boy carefully, "Is everything alright, hyung?" It hadn't escaped Changmin's attention how oddly flushed Jaejoong appeared when he had first arrived to the younger boy's small haven. He also noted how the boy's eyes seemed to display several very different thoughts all at one time. He could only imagine what a jumbled mess it must be within the confines of Jaejoong's mind.

Jaejoong allowed his eyes to scan the room that had once been the livingroom of Rain's parents, but for the sake of yet another monsterous party became one of many party rooms. He shook his head slightly at Changmin's question, "I'm fine, Minnie-ah."

Just as Jaejoong was about to head off, still in search of Yunho, or in attempts to put more distance between himself and Dong Wook, the younger boy put a gentle hand on his shoulder and offered a light and warming squeeze. Jaejoong glanced over his shoulder at Changmin and rested his hand ontop of the other boy's and delivered a small nod. It was if a silent agreement had been forged.

Lean on me, hyung.

* * *

Ji Yong, in his earlier years of life, had gone through his fair share of trouble, mainly because of his hands. His hands had gotten him in and out of so much trouble, though looking back, he had to admit, they had gotten him into more trouble than he would have liked.

Pick pocketing had been something he had picked up, not because he needed the talent to survive. He was a well off boy, so survival wasn't the reason. It was because he simply could. His hands had been talented enough to slip into the pockets and purses of many, but also talented enough to get him caught at times.

Until recently, he had sworn never to return to his old ways, but on this particular night he would make his one exception. For the better good of his academy, family relations and love. Well, that's what he had told himself many times, but it was out of pure curiosity that he would really be slipping his hands in places they didn't belong. Both Yenni and Seungri had made the very same request of him.

Snatch Shim Changmin's phone.

It was all too easy of a task really, but the question why rose whitin his mind over and over again, and because of it, he agreed to help, though they didn't know the other had made the very same request of him.

Young Bae and Daesung disapproved of Ji Yong's willingness to 'help' as he so called it, but Seung Hyun readily offered his assistance with the project, though the younger of the two saw no reason for his eagerness to help.

"I must admit," Ji Yong said with a small smirk, "why would the two of them be so interested in the prodigy's phone? I mean, if he even has one that is." He had just filled the older boy in on what their mission was and why, though he never did get a full story from either Yenni or Seungri. "What do you think?"

Seung Hyun shrugged, not particularly caring for any sort of answer on the matter, "Let's just go for it, and find out why they're so curious about it."

Ji Yong beamed brightly and gave his older friend a slight shove, "I love the way your mind works, Top."

"What have I told you about using that nickname?"

"Only in bed, I know, I know," Ji Yong replied, his face straightening out. He had managed to state this without even cracking the slightest hint of a smile, much to Seng Hyun's annoyance.

He roughly shoved the boy, who began to laugh wildly, "Keep sayin' shit like that, and people are going to get the wrong impression," he growled, not bothering to hide his aggrivation at Ji Yong's intended joke. He knew just how aware Ji Yong was of how riled up he could get over such jokes, knew that Ji Yong only said such things in jest, but these jokes always irked him.

And how easily they did so.

"Alright, alright," Ji Yong laughed, "Let's get down to business before you kick my ass." He clapped his hands together and leaned his head in close to Seng Hyun's, "So all we gotta do is--"
