Laurel usually makes herself useful around the Orkney cottage (when she can wrestle Winky away from any of the chores), but she's taking a day off today.  With no husband (at least not one that ever cares to pay a visit) and no children, there's no one much to notice when she takes a day off.

And besides, the flowers are beginning to bloom in the Mansion's gardens.  But she might not mind some company.
