Complicating My eLife

I'm making this entry via LiVEWIDGET, a widget on the Mac OS 10.4 Dashboard. I didn't really get the widgets at first, but now that I see all the incredible things you can do with them, I'm blown away. This widget, for example, stays logged in to my Livejournal and allows me to update with the option to automatically detect music, enter html and lj-cuts, and even pictures and links. If they could add a history feature to this, it would be perfect. I also have a calendar, local weather, iTunes, a separate widget that displays the cover art for the album I'm listening to which it downloads from Amazon.com if I don't have it, a calculator, sticky notes, Google maps, and a dictionary/thesaurus. The best part is, unlike on Windows, not one single program is cluttering my desktop. The dashboard completely disappears, save an icon in the menu, taking all of the widgets with it.

I'm sure some of you already know all about this. I don't care. I'm excited; deal with it.
