[He's been bugging the people working at the bakery some times now, so he figures that though the one who's not the most fun to mess with out of the ones working there (Doof, of course), there was a new face there.

Never mind that he's been there for a few minutes already when Engie arrives, and is seated on top of the counter again, without caring about how impolite that was.]

Hello~ New sushi-maker in town?

[Yes, he's been told that there's no sushi in Mayfield (yuck, horrible thought! Who could live without sushi?) several times already, at the very same bakery, even. As if he cares about that.]

(Engie...has no idea how to deal with this.)

Err...'fraid not stranger. I'm supposed ta be a baker here. Don't s'ppose you know who the other bakers are?

How boring. So many bakers but so little sushi.

There's un vecchio, and some other useless people. [Of course, he doesn't care explaining more than that. Nor does he care if the new guy knows Italian or not.]

Vecchio. Ossan. Alte. Gubbe. Old man. All the same. Can't believe someone's stupid enough not to get that. It's so easy~

Well, not everyone speaks whatever language you're speakin'. It's not like you'd understand me either if I went full-out Texan on ya.

Knowing many languages comes with my job~ And I knew them even before I got it~

Try me.

...I'll take your word for it, son. There's so many folk here who know so many things, I won't be surprised if you started speakin' like a born-and-bred Texan.

[Taking note of the 'son', here.] I don't remember killing you, so you can't be my dad~

You...you killed your dad?

(Getting a bit too personal for Engie's taste...)

Among many others~

[Now that was an amusing expression.]

Huh. That so.

(Engie suddenly seems very interested in the cake display.)

...in Texas, calling someone "son" doesn't mean that you're related. It's just a way of addressing a younger person.

[Nu-uh, not leaving that subject that easily.]

What, haven't met many people who's killed their own parents before~?

[He's even going to ignore that last part. Isn't he nice?]

No, can't say I have.

(Engie doesn't really want to speak to you anymore.)
