So this was interesting. Back in December I mentioned finding on MySpace this girl, Becky, I knew in high school whom I really should have asked out then because now she's a lesbian. I added her to my friends, and she added me to hers, and it was just sorta like a "hey, I haven't seen you in forever, ttyl" kind of thing. Months go by, and then yesterday, while I was responding to another friend request from this guy I've known since 1st grade, I notice she sent me a message, dated 1 week ago. I give MySpace the finger for not e-mailing me, like I told it to, about this new message from her. She says she got dumped by her girlfriend and she really should make more of an effort to keep in touch with her old friends and all that. I reply saying how sorry I was that I didn't reply sooner because I didn't know she had written, and that I suck at spontaneous e-mails to me friends as well so she shouldn't feel so bad about it.
I also ask her about the 800lb elephant in the room: How'd she go from having 3 boyfriends in high school and apparently being a minx in bed with them to a lesbian? I gotta say, I was kinda shocked at how frank her reply to me was with how she'd only masturbated to Victoria's Secret catalogs and looked at Playboys to turn herself on before making out with her boyfriends. Finally it was when she had awesome lesbian sex that the light bulb went on in her head. She broke up with her boyfriend the next day and hasn't looked at another penis since. She also corrected me on her boy experiences by pointing out that she didn't want to have sex before marriage, which is also something that she took as a kind of clue that she wasn't interested in boys in the first place. I never took her to be a prude at all, but I was still surprised by how much detail she went into on the whole sexuality thing.
It'll be nice if she and I keep up with e-mails to each other. I've often regretted not talking to her more as she really feels like somebody local that I can confide in.
