Yup. [Okay, so maybe they didn't know each other for very long - so what? Lennox took the joint from the corner of his mouth and handed it to Cole, then pulled him into a headlock/hug-hybrid - mostly to make sure that Cole wouldn't run away screaming.]

What what? [Lennox grinned, then gave him a playful shove.] Didn't catch the question that guy over there asked? Well, fortunate for me, unfortunate for you...

Oh, no. I caught it. [He blinks again. Cole hadn't come to terms with his sexuality a hundred percent - believing if he ignored it, it would go away and he'd be normal. But surprisingly, he's not nearly as volatile about the subject as he thought he would be if ever confronted about it.] You're just open about it.

Yeah. Why wouldn't I? It's a good thing, you know, positive feelings. If I'd hate someone, I'd try to hide it and be ashamed. Hate sucks, haters suck. [Lennox gave a small shrug, then put his arm back around Cole. Hey, I like you.]

You think differently than anyone else. [He leaned into the arm though.] Not a bad thing, just I guess... I'm used to trying to hide most of who I am, because I am different. Not everyone's as accepting.

We can be different together, it's easier that way, you know. [Smug grin.] I think you'd be surprised if you'd give people a chance to accept you the way you are. And hey, if they don't... well, you'll have more time to hang out with me. [He gave Cole a hug. Everything will be alright, man.]

[He patted him back and grinned.] I wish I could be more like you. But there's just... a lot to me, you know.

Aw, why'd you want that? You're great the way you are. [Lennox smiled. This was nice.]

You like me like... well, me? [Cole looked up. Maybe Alyx was right about opening up. The whole world wasn't a bad place.] Guess I just want things to be different. Everything's thats happened. It's not exactly fun being me.

Yeah, that's what all this is about, you know. I like you - exactly the way you are. Plus, you look great in my sarongs. [Big smile and another hug.] Maybe we can make it fun? Or try to. Gonna share my good karma with you. [A wink. Lennox really wanted Cole to be okay, be happy. And he would sure as hell try.]

[He put his head on Lennox's shoulder and smiled.] It's nice having someone. I always thought I'd have to conform, be like everyone else to find someone.

[Cole's head on his shoulder felt nice, warm and comfortable, and the smile on Cole's face felt even better.] Conformity is boring, so don't even think about it. It's not worth the trouble. [Lennox stroked down Cole's back, a comforting touch.] Although you could probably easily find someone who's a little closer to 'normal' than I am.

[His head popped up to look him in the eyes. Cole shook his head.] I wouldn't want to. You're fun and creative and getting me out of my skin. I like that you're different. You're like the coolest person I've ever met. I wouldn't change that for anything.
