ok so ive been listening to the smashing pumpkins alot this last week and i have them on right now. i tend to take a break from bands, along break because with so much good new music coming out its hard to find time for the oldies (giosh i just called the smashing pumpkins and oldie, does that mean im getting old) but with bumming it out because they werent annouced for coachella, and then hearing there first shows so far are going to be in germany, it got me wanting to listen to them again, and wow im floored all over again.
this year is shaping up to be a great year for music. the arcade fire album leaked over the weekend and i got to say they stepped it up,although it lacks the urgency that made there last album an instant classic, its a great album in itself and shows alot of depth and growth and i can already tell this album will turn into a major grower as the songs have many layers and its oh so gothy, lol....
again this weekend i wanted to venture to the cinemas and found myself not wanting to leave the house, i dont know why i cannot make the effort to go to the movies when theres alot of good product i have yet to see.
and whats this it looks like Little Miss Sunshine is shaping up to win the Best Picture Oscar at the academy awards. Who knew this little film which is really fun would end up taking the top prize. i mean i liked it in all, but best picture worthy im not to sure about that, but i havent seen anything else nominated so what do i know. And am i the only one happy dreamgirls didnt get nominated for best picture, that way beyonce dad can cry more about people being racist.
I saw the shins at amoeba on friday. it was super crowded. the fire marshal was there and the event was nearly canceled right before the band took the stage. they ended up clearing the middle aisle and making those people leave the store and they also shut down the store, visch!
i kinda watched the SAG awards last night, the fact that isiah washington (that fag) is in rehab is uber retarded (the fact that i used the werd uber makes me retarded)
