I am on vacation! I took a week off and it's been a lovely staycation so far. All of our ambitious plans have come to naught and we've just ended up staying around the house and amusing the CelerySurprise.

Plans we have abandoned:

• Go to Sudbury and Manitoulin Island
• Go to the cottage
• Go to Montreal

However we have managed to:

• [Edit] Go to the Papinack Zoo in exotic Wendover Ontario
• Go to beautiful Perth, Ontario
• Do many loads of laundry AND drop off my dry cleaning!
• Have Brainslie's parents over for dinner
• Book our pool closing for the fall (rather than doing it at the last minute in November like last year)

I figure if we can keep to our plan of going to the National Art Gallery today then it's been a week well spent. I really just needed a break more than anything else, so it's serving its purpose.
