some of you may be familiar with the story of joansie the classic rocker, or maybe jessie the drug dealer.
a select few of you may have heard mention of the elephant wacker. recently cody the male stripper, and paul the minivan driving senatra cover singer have been added to the list of wierd people i've met. but let me tell you the craziest one yet.
his name was juan (hoooaaaann)
he came to circle k last night and asked if we had a lighter, which of course we did. he told us that he was running from the police, because he shot up a house in phoenix, and a cop came out and started firing back. (this was a weak ago) so we started talking some more and aparently he had just been in jail for the last four years for assault with a deadly weapon at a police officer. now i'm sure there are a handful of people out there with records like this but how many of them are only 15 YEARS OLD! so we kept on talking and we were trying to think of a place to stay, but the only conclusion we could come to was that he needed to go home.
i told him i could take him home first thing in the morning if he wanted, but there was no telling where he would be for the rest of the night, so i said i would give him a ride back up to phoenix that night (last night). so i put some gas in my car and made him throw away his drugs then erik and phil loaded into the back of my car. i asked him one more question and that was "Do you have any guns on you?" he replied "No." as he pulled a bread knife out of his pants and threw it in the trash can. i told him he could keep his knife as long as it stayed in the back of the car while we were driving. after all that was cleared up we hit the road.
there was silence for a while but then we started talking about his 1 year old daughter, and he had me convinced that he was potentially a very responsible person. His mom was dead, and his father was in drug rehab, and he had to quit doing drugs when his daughter was born. his daughter lives with her mother, and her grandmother. Her name is jeanelle, and she was described as the most beautiful baby on the planet.
the conversation went on for about an hour, and i looked at my gauges only to find out my oil preassure was low. so i went to a gas station to fill up a little bit. once back on the road he came to the realisation that we had gone to far and needed to turn around.....AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER we were in familiar territory and he went on to describe all the people he's shot and all the places he has also shot.
finally we found his appartment and departed forever. and i made the long journy home with erik and phil asleep. i arived at my house at five thrity this morning!
