Triumphant Return

So I'm back. The car is still damaged, but I'm fine. I was on my way to my a cappella retreat, and I hydroplaned on an exit ramp, leading to me rolling down a steep hill and crashing facefirst into a tree. SCARY SHIT. I'm okay, thank God, and the car will hopefully cost less than 2 thou.

The Hoof n Horn cabaret and the Rhythm and Blue freshman concert both went well. In particular, the cabaret allowed me to adlib a lot, and it reminded me of my old days MCing with Adam. Good times, great times.

My classes are sinfully easy. I just watched Easy Rider for a class. That Dennis Hopper is fucked up. Damned interesting movie though.

I talked about the day James died for the first time in a while today. I talked in my acting class about a moment that changed me in life, and I think it was gathering with everyone eating pizza and watching Airplane that day. I've thought about James since my car crash. Life is a vulnerable thing, and I think that day and the way my fucked up mind decided to cope helped me refocus my priorities, which is to embrace life and not spend so much time focusing on negative things like fighting, arguing, or being gloomy. Everyone that was at my house that day is my friend, and I cherish alla y'all.

I'm feelin alright right now, despite all monetary problems. Jody has been tremendously wonderful and beautiful, as it the standard for her. Classes are going well. I hope to get a good part in Once Upon a Mattress (heh) that I'm trying out for tonight. My a cappella group will get a few really talented people this year. Everything pleases me.
