Work Blues
So after a first day of training, which was pretty much the full day was talking about and showing, but never really any hands on training. It was like 20% Training and 80% Dicking around, really it was. They had more smoke breaks and waiting around then anything. I got some stuff, but i'm the guy who likes a hands on approach. I think people learn better when you get them to practice. I was trained by two guys from Nashville who was up there to restructure the whole store.
So Friday rolls around and I was going in for a few hours before wrestling to get some hands on training from the leaving Store Manager, Amy. However, before I left yesterday they told me I shouldn't go in, I should not be trained by Amy or listen to her advice. So I went in and Amy is a mess with the store all in a wreck from the Nashville guys working it and the closer messed up on closing duties. So she is living, she trying to teach me how to open and at the time talking about how everything going on here is bullsh*t and how she getting blamed for how poor the store is, when it was her own employees that ruined it before she left to the Vegas Conference. I told her she shouldn't worry she be leaving soon, so don't listen to what's going on, focus on now. The Nashguys didn't want me to come in and learn from you today, but I not going to listen, I want you to help train me to get better. She lost it and broke down and just walked out and left me high and dry. I begged her not to go, even a Hollywood Video employee came over and begged her not to go and she did anyways.
So considering I couldn't run the store on my own, I had to leave and they close the store for the day....I was like WOW! This was ridiculous. So I only got a hour of pay and having to watch Amy cry her eyes out and snap. Great. I just have the feeling it going to lash back on me come next week, so i'm all worried now with corporate. Second day on the job and I get this. Is it worth staying there and going through this mess or should I look elsewhere? I dunno.
Also I'm not your XCF-NBW Destroyer Champion anymore, after a run for a month, I lost the title back to the guy I beat for it. So I'm a little banged up and my jaw got rocked so it sore, but overall i'm fine.
I'm just glad it's the weekend and I got it all to myself. Best part of the day yesterday I would say was hanging with Nick and Steve after we got back from wrestling and watched the rest of WWE Smackdown, then watched Bruno and played some Street Fighter IV on the PS3. Jennifer, my baby, went out and pick us up a huge Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza for us from Wal-Mart along with surprising me by getting me "The Office: Season One" on DVD. YAY! The show is awesome! Love You Jennifer.
