What a week!
So this past week was crazy. But crazy in a good way! I had a GREAT week!!
This week was band camp week. (ok, I'll wait for all you to be done laughing, though I still don't understand that...) I had a great time! We had great weather. It was pretty hot on Tuesday and Wednesday, but we survived. None of the kids really complained either. They were all definitely into the show this year. I think because it's such a fun show. Not much to learn drill wise, pretty simple, fun little moves, and the theme is "Beach Bash". It's awesome. I love the kids...cept for one, but none of the staff really likes them, so it's all good. Haha.
Mon night, I went to see Harry Potter 3 with Brock and Sciarra. It was so much fun! That movie was awesome, and I can't wait for the 4th one to come out. Sciarra and I wanna go see A Cinderella Story now too. Haha. We'll wait for THAT to come in the cheapy theater too. Then we went to Uno's cause that's where my Matt was, and we had some pizza skins and drinks, then just headed home. Tuesday night was a relax at home night. Wed night Jess and I went shopping for colorguard stuff, and got to run through the rain. I'll tell ya, the worst feeling is running through a parking lot in the cold rain, yet stepping in warm puddles. It's like you're stepping in pee! Thursday night was my date with Little Danny Long. Aw, it was fun! We ate dinner at the KOP mall, then on over to the IMAX theater to see the DCI Quarter Finals. It was so cool! Lounging in REALLY comfy seats with our feet up watching drum corp. Ah. Plus, there was this really hot snare player from Buccs there. Definitely makes it easier to join Buccs next year. I'm doing guard now, ps. I've decided that this week. Jess is teaching me some stuff, and Mommy Long said she'd help me with some stuff. Plus she said I could do Bucc's guard easy. So yay! (Jackie will be proud) Anyways. The corps were excellent. Crossmen finished 10th with an even 88. Cavaliers took it with like a 97 something. Wow, they're show is AMAZING. I could NEVER march like that. The show ended at 1230, and that was BEFORE America the Beautiful and Oh Canada. So I didn't get to bed until 2am. Yea, and I was up at 5am the next day to go to breakfast at Shady Maple. Oi. What a day Friday was then. Haha. I came home, called off work, took a shower (first hot one of the week), put my PJs on, made some mac and cheese, and went to bed. I slept from 930 last night to 11 this morning. And I prolly could have slept longer! It was a long tiring week.
I'm supposed to work at Buca tonight, but I think I'm going to quit. Too much this season with Apple, teathing, and Buca. Plus Buca is the most boring job I've ever had. Yes, even more boring than Gymboree. Cause at Gymboree I had other things to do when no one came in. At Buca, you stand around and do nothing. O boy. So no more Buca. Plus, this week of band camp, just standing around basically for 8 hours, killed my knee. So doing 8 hours of moving around all day I don't think would be too good for it. I don't need to explain myself though. Haha. So I'm on the hunt for an office job again :) If I have to leave Apple, I guess I have to. :( O well, money is more important than a fun 3 hours a day, right?
