It's Been Forever!
So I pretty much stopped writing on here because I figured that everyone used myspace now, which I don't like, and no one came here anymore; but I was wrong. So here is whats new with me. I moved to Marina Del Rey in California, to be in a musical called "Babes In Arms". Practice started August 14th, and the musical started September 16th-October 9th, so yeah it's over now. It was a great experience And I made some really cool friends. Although the musical got bad reviews it was still fun to be in, and it's something to put on my resume. During the play I found someone on craigslist.com to help me produce and record my songs. Little did I realize that this guy has some great credits to his name. He's written for Aaron Carter, Backstreet Boys, and N'sync to name a few. We've recorded 3 songs together so far and he does an amazing job, better than any of my earlier recordings. I left for New York 2 weeks ago to meet up with his publisher. While he was there he was going to give his publisher and some other people my demos. He was supposed to call me last week and never did. I e-mailed him to see what was up, because I was anxious to see what was going on, and he replied and told me that he gave it to his publisher, she loves it, and she could definitely get the songs to people who are already famous and let them record it. He said he turned that offer down though because he doesn't want to give away my best songs. I'm wondering though if it would be a good idea to let someone else record my songs. It would be good just to get my name out there. Anyway, now that the musical is over with I'm looking for more auditions and jobs. So far no job, out of the 50 I applied for, wants to give me a chance, so that sucks. So until my life picks up this will be my last entry for a while.
