[---Locked to Lily---]
Hey Lily Worth - haven't seen you around the ship! Where've you been hiding, kiddo?
---
[EDIT: ---Locked to Even---]
I like cupcakes, and dresses, and, umm... Even!
Oh, Even? Lily and I are having a marvelous time on Deck 8, over by Spectacular, Spectacular.
I like the ones with icing! Muffins are okay, but cupcakes are

[He waited for the sound of Even's steps approaching, with all the patience of a killer.]
[The door cracked open.]
[Dexter clicked on the tape recorder:]
They're not as good! What is iiiit?
[Click. And it was off again. He talked lowly, so Even wouldn't know where is voice was coming from exactly;]
Oh, nothing. I just thought I heard something.

Don't you want to stay here with me? Have a couple more cupcakes?

YES!
[Dexter shifted, in attempt to get a view of Even. He was a cautious bastard, and that didn't bode well for Dexter - especially when he was out of tape, and had to give the general jist of his position in order for the bait conversation to work.]
[I should have recorded more. ...And recorded myself.]
[He spoke boldly, deciding to use this in his favor as misdirection.]
Even's no fun, is he.
[He swiftly pocketed the tape recorder in the messenger bag he both picked up from the shops on his earlier errands; he'd need the recorder later for taunting. He then moved in his crouch, silent as a shadow, to be closer to where Even would appear if he were to go directly for Dexter's previously flagged position.]
[... ... ...Hindsight is 20/20. That's a sloppy mistake I won't be making again.]
[Dexter was ready to pounce.]

[Dexter slinked a hand into his messenger bag, the clicking noises muffled by the fabric. Slowly, delicately, he brought the tape recorder out of the bag without a sound, setting it on the floor beside him - out of Even's sight.]
[Click.]
[Still in his crouch, Dexter slowly moved away from it to circle behind Even - if luck was on his side, Even would focus on Lily's voice, despite how awkward it was...]
I want it, I want it! Where are you?

[He talked steadily into Even's ear, alarmingly calm.]
Cute kid, isn't she.
I like cupcakes, and dresses, and, umm... Even!
[With a violent tug, he intended to throw Even off of his balance, dragging him backwards, always keeping pressure on that hold.]
It's too bad that she found someone like you.
I like the ones with icing! Muffins are okay, but cupcakes are better!

[When Even goes unconsious Dexter drops him like a rock, letting his body thud to the floor carelessly. He had work to do before the man woke up; Dex shut off and scooped up the radio, sticking it in his messenger bag. He limped over to a rack and snatched a scarf, tying it tightly around his leg - blood trails could be very telling, what a nuisance.]
[He pocketed Even's knives as well before he began dragging the man's body over to the stairwell - two flights of stairs and five or so steps to his right, they'd be in his room.]
[The room that he'd prepared for this very special occasion in Even Worth's life.]

[Even's mouth was stuffed with cheap cotton balls so he couldn't speak - just whimper, show pain, possibly show remorse but remorse never worked for anybody, not at this stage...]
[His tone was flat and lifeless.]
I apologise for the shower curtains, it was the best I could do with what I had.
[He dragged Kage's balisong diagonally across Even's cheek.]
...But the shops aided me enough in restocking my materials.

Oh please, you and I both know that's not happening.
[Dexter sat, noticing the lack of fear.]
[He pressed the play button on his tape recorder. He let it play.]

Children. So innocent.

Too many, just like you. Killers.
[He turns over the knife in his hands, admiring the tool.]
But I ask the questions here.
Where would you get a knife like this, on a ship that doesn't allow weapons. I figured you wouldn't come unarmed but this is quite an astonishing piece of equipment.
