random update time.
Still a bit bummed.
Trying to meet people to socialize with. My coworkers are usually hit and miss. They aren't programmer types so they don't appreciate my thought process usually. I think my temp manager might understand me a bit more, and one of the senior engs, but the rest of the people not so much.
Not had this much trouble with people in a while. The sfif people are all really sharp and each reasonably nice to be around.
I'm apparently "on call" this weekend. Which is no fun. I'm not super happy about that. Basically carry the pager and wait for people to deal with problems and i get to listen.
I got my machine reasonable set up now, got xp installed and its running in a VM right now. now i need to come up with things to do
