I just got back from the pride parade here. It so cool living is a city that has something like this here. I have never been to one before. The thing that impressed me the most out of anything was that there was a high school group emphasizing being comfortable with your choice of sexuality. They didn't even have anything like that when I was in high school. I bet it would have avoided a lot of situations that arose in those days. Maybe changing the world requires waiting for the past to die. At the salon I deal with some of the most overly pompous women ever. They talk about war the same way they talk about American Idol. It pisses me off. They don't have friends dying over there. They don't know people who have been hurt by senseless conflict. They are such a minority that is totally absurd that they have any control at all.
Also, I have to appreciate the innocence of a child. I try to think that way as much as possible. It was really cool seeing little kids waving rainbow flags and wearing feather boas. They know nothing about what it signifies and they don't give a fuck. To them it is just brightly colored stuff. I'm still annoyed by people who have more people, especially people who do this excessively.
My favorite quote from the parade "Vote to lick bush and dick"
