011 I'm gonna make you panic now and I don't regret it.
I was out with some friends, colleagues and fellow comedians on Halloween.
No that is not the thing that will make you panic yet.
So, as I was saying I was out with some friends and people that are quite alike my kind. This should already warn you. What's more alarming, we were drinking. And then we started brainstorming. One idea gave another and before we knew it, we had a charity action for Christmas planned out. Then we went home, slept off our rush and forgot about the entire thing.
But today we came together again, sober this time, talked about it, and decided it was a good idea.
So, here it goes.
THE GREAT KARAOKE CHARITY DUEL (A purely working title, I assure you)
Hosted by the incomparable, loved-by-all-of-you-even-if-you-would-rather-die-than-admit-that HARATETSU!!!
It's gonna be organized in the form of duels - One "celebrity" (anyone famous, or recognized in public counts, such as singers, tennis players, athletes, or other sportlers, actors, models, comedians ;) ) vs. one "commoner" (someone who isn't known by the general public. This counts CEOs too xD). The winner will get a certain amount of money, donated by Mr. Z (the unknown sponsor, or more generally known as the person who would like to give us a large amount of money willingly, without asking for anything back. Anyone willing to fill this ungrateful role? ^___^ He'll have the gratitude of all the poor souls that need the charity to survive.)
If the "commoner" wins, he can do with the money whatever he wants. If the "celebrity" wins, the money will be donated to a charity of their choice. So you get to choose where you think a thick sack of money is needed the most. The decision of their victory would be made by the publicum, don't ask me how yet. But they're gonna vote every round. And in case I haven't mentioned this, one round consists of one duel. (Duel= 1 celeb x 1 com)
Aha! I know what you're thinking now. 'This is pointless. Everyone will just vote for his favorite singer, tennis player, whoever they're fans of.'
Well, it just depends on you to make a show worth a vote. Can you do it? Yes, this is a blunt challenge. ^___^ Can't resist? Thought so. You're welcome.
And even if you lose, let yourself be comforted by the thought, that your loss only means that less people will suffer in the cruel cold of winter, warmth by the kindness of the donations.
I shouldn't probably mention this, but it's gonna be a live broadcast.
An all nighter probably.
One you absolutely can't refuse. I won't hesitate to use drastic meassures, such as blackmail, if you do.
