*emerges blinking from the network of crumbling cellars beneath the Steward's Quarters, dark robes floured with dust and a heavily bleeding Halbarad draped around one shoulder -- hopefully, Gorlim is close behind

oh gracious you startled me *sees the wounded man* Oh! Oh my gracious, oh dear, all right, please, it is all right, I am a healer I will take care of him. Thank you. Here lay him down. I will tend to him. Have no worries.
Halbarad peers at Lorie through slitted lids, his vision clouded just as badly as when he first woke after his accident. Several of his wounds have reopened beneath his bandages. The only thing holding him up is the strong support of the stranger's arm. His breath comes in ragged, fatigued gasps, and the pain of his torn stitches pulls at him, making him almost wish for unconsciousness.
Sshhh its all right Halbarad *smiles gently* You're very safe, stay with me. I will help you. *softly whispers, gently runs a hand down your cheek* You are bleeding badly, but you will be fine. *removes old bandages, opens water flask, pours just a small amount, enough to clean the wounds* Sshh you will be all right. I promise you *whispers gently* I will not leave your side. Until I feel I may.
As you wish then. Over there is fine *points to a small near by brook and follows the stranger* It will easier for me to tend to him, thank you kind stranger.
Ssshh it's all right dear. A kind stranger is helping me get you to where I may tend to you easier. Do not touch your wounds, please. I will take care of them for you in due time *whispers gently* Have no worries *smiles gently*
Sshh you must not talk. Yes. I am a friend of Eomer's. *whispers, smiles gently, brushes your cheek gently. Holds the water flask to your lips, and gives you a little bit of water* You must save your strength Halbarad.
He swallows what water he can, grateful. His head lolls as the flask is taken away, and he fights to remain conscious and quiet. He wants to speak to the stranger, learn who this person is who has taken the time to help him and Gorlim. He wants to know what one native to the desert is doing in Gondor.
*looks at the stranger too as well and back to Halbarad, gently smiles, dunks a cloth into the cool brook's water, wrings it out, and starts to wipe clean the dust from your face. Starts to tend to Halbarad's wounds carefully, slowly. Looks back at the stranger*
Who are you kind stranger, so we know who to mention *smiles*
*inclines head stiffly, unable now to keep the slight edge of panic from eyes which dart restlessly about at each passerby* I do not give my name, Lady. I...it is best, that way. If some name you need, I was of the al-Mahdi.
*instinctively catches Halbarad's hand -- looks mildly annoyed with self, but doesn't let go*
His heartbeat is strong. *sighs, seems to make a decision* I will stay, but...we take him to a bed now. I do not like being...open, like this. Outside.
I am unsure how he was. All I remembered was the ground was shaking badly, objects falling everywhere, and I could have sworn they were calling for him. Or someone was. I have seen Halbarad. That is how I knew who he was. By face and all. *looks at the stranger* Perhaps we should take him elsewhere. You seem to wish to be unseen. I understand, I never question *smiles at the stranger with the foreign name*
*finishes stitching up Halbarad's wounds, and putting fresh bandages on over them*
Halbarad drifts as Lorie tends to him, the fog returning to his mind. Oddly enough, he feels safe with her and this stranger from the desert. Perhaps that is because he doesn't have the energy to feel anything else. He is glad that the stranger has agreed to stay. There are so many questions to ask. Why would one from the desert help a man of the North? His confusion fades as his eyes drift closed. Sleep or unconsciousness--he's not entirely sure which--tempts him. Idly, he wonders where the others might take him.

He will live? But...not on the ground, not here. I will carry him where you want, but quickly. I should not stay.
*picks up Halbarad with an grunt of effort*
Show me where.

Stay ... please ...
Again, he fades, and his grasp falters, his fingers slipping down the stanger's own as they grow limp and weak once more.
