Oh man, what a couple of days it's been.... ^^;
pre-christmas was filled with work (until noon on christmas eve, actually) and no sleep (well, about 3-4 hours a night), frantic yuletide writings, work, running back to bern for one night just to check whether the still missing present for the boy had arrived by mail (only to find out the next day, that they had never even gotten the ORDER which I had mailed out weeks ago! >.<. stupid postal services), cleaning my apartment and packing for the christmas celebrations at my parents' and the boy's place, work, decorating the christmas tree at my parents' house, work, making and sending out a couple more christmas cards (but only swiss destinations, so they should have arrived in time), wrapping christmas presents, work, go look for a decent substitute for the boy's missing substitute last minute after work on the 24th (WHAT A NIGHTMARE! >.<. I never ever wanna go shopping in zurich on christmas eve again), wrap some more presents and get ready for christmas with the family.... (I didn't even get to touch the computer after leaving work on thursday until early christmas morning....)
christmas however... was great. ^________________^ or rather... one big FEAST. XD XD dinner (and christmas celebration/unwrapping presents etc.) on christmas eve with my parents, my brother and his girlfriend, our next door neighbors, and the other local pastor with his wife - church afterwards, where the boy joined us as well - brunch with my parents, the boy, and my brother + girlfriend on christmas morning (well...turned out to be noonish, rather than morning since my mom had the service at church before that), and opening presents afterwards, followed by a visit to my parents new house to see the progress of the last couple of months - dinner at some friends' place where the boy lives - and brunch with the boy's extended family on boxing day. diet? shall commence with the start of the new year. *cough*
as for non-food related events... I got some lovely presents, including a sewing machine from my parents (omg, I wanted one for sooooooooo long!), lovely lovely shoes from my brother's girlfriend (they were actually hers, but we found out a couple of weeks ago, that they fit me better... so she gave them to me for christmas. ^___^ I love them!), and the original star wars trilogy from my brother *geek*. nothing from the boy yet, because...guess what... IT HASN'T ARRIVED YET. *LOL* he did give me something little to tie me over until the real present gets here, though: a set of christmas themed stamps for next year's christmas cards. *laughs*
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand. yuletide. what a WONDERFUL surprise it was this year! ^____________^ I didn't get just one story. and not just two, either. no. I got THREE full stories AND FOUR yuletide madness treats. I feel so very lucky and privileged, even though it's probably more of a coincidence than anything else since the people who write for you don't really know you most of the time. I'm just very lucky that my prompts seem to have caught people's eyes this time. ^____________^
I'm going to post links once authors are revealed... or maybe earlier. we'll see.
