yes, my friends, I have a new computer. the old one actually died about 2 days after my last entry, the morning after I had (barely and with rebooting 5 times) managed to order a new one. whew.
thankfully, it was delivered much quicker than they had said at first (about a week earlier than the estimated delivery date). so, on the one hand, YAY for a new baby laptop (my little inner geek can't quite help the glee ^^;)...on the other hand, I wouldn't have minded using the old one a bit longer and not having to spend the money. -.-"
I have to admit, though, Lorn is rather pretty *^_____^*:
...As for now, I'm still installing programs, transferring files, and trying to get used to windows 7. ^^; so far, I quite like it, though.

I also happen to have a cute, sleeping (and unfortunately still sick) iniq in my bed. *grins* I shall cuddle her, cook for her, keep her warm, comfort her, watch movies with her, and generally try to make her feel better. ♥ she's staying until Wednesday or even Thursday. Waaah! So much time. ^____^ it's been quite a while since we got to spend that many days together. *happyhappy*

On the job front..... *cough* I'd rather not talk about the job hunting. it's depressing. However, it is very very likely that I'll be going back to school next fall. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. ^^;
I'm still working at the law firm, though not as much as I hoped/was told I could before I went on my trip. thursday nights (6-10pm) and fridays are a given, everything else is on call (filling in in case someone gets sick) and a few substitutions here and there... damn financial crisis. -.-"

I also kinda seem to have forgotten to mention that I went to Japan for two weeks in november. *cough* there shall be pictures as soon as I've sorted through them and managed to upload them... and for those who have been witness to my 'luck' with weather during my travels... guess what.... >_> yes. it rained. A LOT.
I did have a lot of fun, though, got to meet a few of my dear friends there (and some not...;_;), and, as a couple of you (*winkwink*) may have noticed, it was also a quite productive holiday as I managed to get almost all my christmas presents taken care of. yay?

highlights lately (beside iniq's visit):
1) the boy took me to an event called energy stars for free, a concert for which you couldn't buy the tickets, but had to either win them or get them through connections, as they were, in accordance with the name of the event, free. ^___^ and there? I got to see shakira. ^__________________^ LIVE! and quite close up, too.
2) I won tickets for 'World's Best on Ice' in Basel, an ice skating event with top ice skating stars Stéphane Lambiel and Alexei Jagudin, my two favorite ice skaters ever! ^_^ ... I have no recollection of where and how I entered my name to win the tickets, but the card that came with it said 'congratulations and enjoy!'.... *grins* and since the boy absolutely denies having a hand in it... I must have participated in a contest somewhere. XD XD
christmas.... just as the weather's turned a bit more christmassy (read cold with the occasional dust of snow ^^;), I'm also making progress with presents and cards, so this is the last call for signing up. The post in question is >>>HERE<<<. ^___^
