Since I've been nudged, I decided I'd at least do a 2008 year in review survey...
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Bought my first Volkswagen camper bus!
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I definitely did not, and I always kind of make resolutions. This year I'd like to give up Diet Coke.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My old college roommate, Ashley!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thank god.
5. What countries did you visit?
Mexico. And many new parts of the U.S.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A smaller dress size. It's going to happen this year, damnit.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I don't know, really... July 21st will always be, but it's also the day I started my 365 blog.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Finally getting a job.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Losing touch with my best friend. I hope to fix that this year.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I tweaked my neck while snowboarding. Two weeks later and it still hurts.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My new camera!!! And the VW. :)
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Kyle for being overall awesome.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My own (I can be just so lazy sometimes, yuck) and Chicago drivers.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Gas and rent.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The VW bus, Tenacious D/Beastie Boys concert, going to Mexico, finding a permanent job.
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
I decided I really like Pink this year. I always have, but I've made it official in my head.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you: happier or sadder? thinner or fatter? richer or poorer?
I'm probably happier or just as happy, definitely fatter, and richer. I'd like to change the middle one.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Exercising.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Eating junk, making excuses.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
Christmas Eve with my dad's side of the family, Christmas Day at my mom's house, and our real Christmas dinner was on Saturday.
21. Did you fall in love in 2008?
With my Volkswagen, Louise.
22. How many one-night stands?
Zerooooo.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
BOSTON LEGAL and then they took it away from me. :(
24. Do you dislike anyone now that you didn't dislike this time last year?
Not necessarily.
25. What was the best book you read?
Devil in the White City. I'm obsessed with that book. And I also really liked The Nanny Diaries. AND The Chris Farley Show.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
As I said before, PINK! And I fell back in love with Atmosphere also.
27. What did you want and get?
A new camera. Guitar Hero. Wii Fit. A VW bus.
28. What did you want and not get?
I really wanted this face stuff from Philosophy. I guess I should just buy it myself.
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
Step Brothers, Dark Knight, Kung Fu Panda.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 25 in 2008 and I went to the Spam Museum. Oh yeah.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Perhaps a more productive job. Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic to be employed, but it'd be nice to have actual work to do while at work.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Boring and lame.
33. What kept you sane?
Kyle. Facebook (ha, for real).
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I can't even think of one, which is really unlike me. I'll just say William Shatner for my love of Boston Legal (and he totally looks like my dad!)
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Stupid Illinois politics. Prove to me that Obama isn't crooked. He's friends with all of those bastards!
36. Who did you miss?
EVERYONE in Minnesota. :(

Probably Emily from my bowling team.. she's fun!
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008?
Never take anything for granted. I've had a charmed life lately and I'm just waiting for the bottom to drop out. Take things in stride.
