These all fics that I wrote a while ago that deal with Dads. I am writing a new one for the
Daddy Drabble challenge so wait for it.

Title: Elegy For My Father
Author: happywriter06
Fandom: Prison Break
Character/Pairing: Michael Scofield
Category: Gen
Rating: G
Disclaimer: If I owned PB, Aldo would still be alive.
Summary: Michael's thoughts as his father dies in his arms.
Notes: I actually wrote this poem in 10th grade after my father died. I totally understood Michael's grief and felt it wasn't too much as some have said. My father was more like a family friend. At times, I hated him for it. At times, I was indifferent towards him. At the time, I loved him because I was supposed to. When he died, I expected to grieve but not as much as I did and as I much as I do even to this day.
According to Merriam-Webster, an elegy is a song or poem expressing sorrow or lamentation especially for one who is dead.

Pain assaulted my heart.
Breathe. Breathe. BREATHE. BREATHE. MICHAEL, JUST BREATHE!
Tears are spilling from my lids.
I can’t see. And maybe that’s a good thing. I don’t want to see the light fade from his eyes. It’s better not to see the color fade from his face. I can’t see the blood.
My fatherless eyes.
He’s gone. And it shouldn’t matter. It shouldn’t hurt like this.
