Notes: For torigates’ birthday (who wanted Sam and Ruby, het or gen) because she never fells to put a smile on my face, to keep me motivated. I hope you like. Just my take on Ruby’s motivation.
He’s not her first, not by any means, but he’s the first in this new body of hers, darker and fuller than the other.
He’s not the best of her recent conquests - a girl’s got to enjoy the third chance she’s been given - for he’s understandably selfish, consumed by grief - all anger and sadness and self-hatred hurtling towards self-destruction.
This - what she offers - is no balm for the gaping hole he carries inside. This is just another step on that path. He just doesn’t know it yet. There’s a war to win and she’d do anything to make it so.
