Prison Break 4x7
- I don't get the Roland hate. Sure he can be annoying but so much that I think he deserves the level of disdain certain characters keep throwing his way. It makes those characters look like bullies in my opinion. Having said that, Roland totally should get his ass kicked for that stunt in the casino.
- "Can you get me Carrot Top's autograph?" BWAH!! I'm not kidding when I say I nearly choked on the soup I was eating. Speaking of this scene, aw the kiss between M/S made me think of something that has been bothering me about the secks between these two. I didn't think they had sex back in the beginning of this season. One, I thought it was ridiculous that Michael didn't notice her scars at all at some point. Unless it was missionary and over pretty fast. Which is totally plausible. Two, which is the biggest reason, I didn't think the powers that be would give us just that, which is to say nothing. Three seasons and that's it? WTF? Are you kidding me? We deserve better. Their first time should be on the level of their first kiss - monumental, handled with care, to be viewed on youtube a few hundred dozen couple of times. So the kiss in the episode confirmed for me that they are probably having sex. I will tell you honestly that the thought of them having sex at the warehouse didn't even occur to me until I read some fic. I think it was my brain's way of saying reconciling them not having sex, at least in my mind, at the beginning of the season and having sex in the warehouse with everyone around and all that.
- I feel like I missed an episode when Linc and Sara were talking. It just felt off to me somehow. In any event, are we to conclude a) Christina Rose had LLI and b) Michael's going to die? I mean is LLI related to this tumor or not? And can they please not have Michael die? Please?
- Linc in the black suit? GUH!! Sara was looking pretty guh-worth herself when she was by the pull. Sucre, you hot little Latin thing you, gave us skin. Good man. They shouldn't have added the wife. It was funnier the other way. I know I was LMAO the entire time.
- Mahone = badass. Yeah, I know. Old news.
- For the first time I didn't FF through the T-bag and CSB scenes
All in all, I think taking a step back and just taking PB for what it is at this point means I can enjoy it more. This episode was fun..
Heroes 3x4
- I knew Ali's characters were triplets. They must really like Ali. I kinda feel like they are shoehorning her into the show.
- Sylar as Mr. Mom with a kid named Noah (NOAH!) is the scariest thing.
- I'm confused about Maya's purpose and the purpose of her hookup with Mohinder. I'm also trying to be patient with the direction Mohinder's storyline.
I'm going to head over to TWoP to see if I can make sense of the timelines, conspiracies, The Company's purpose in my own head because I'm pretty much lost and it hampers my complete enjoyment of the show.
Movies I've watched:
Black Snake Moan - My views on this movie falls somewhere in between these reviews listed below. I'm kinda neutral on it. It's one of those movies where you go into it with one view and come out with another. It's not what you would expect. It's definitely more than the promotional posters suggest. The writer/director could've gotten his point - what exactly that is, I'm not completely sure - differently. To me he was being in your face and out there for the sake of it rather than to help get his point across. In any event, solid performances by the cast, which helps a lot.
Review1,
Review 2,
Review 3,
Review 4 and
Review 5. Here's an
interview with the writer/director. Interesting.
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels -
Way easier to understand than Snatch. I like this movie. Typical heist film but I thought it was rather smart, somewhat stylish, and a good cast.
No Country for Old Men - Love this movie! I'm not even going to attempt a review because I suck at them so read
this instead.
Shooter - I liked it. It's a typical action movie but with policial overtones.
