Lincoln always said "All you need is to get laid, Mike."

Linc threw girls at Michael right and left from the moment he hit puberty.

There were a few girls in high school always casting a willing and eager eye in Michael's direction but it wasn't until his freshman year of college that Michael began to see that perhaps Lincoln, crude and tasteless as he was about it, might have had a valid point.

Weekends at school were all about parties, drinking and plenty of sex.

Unconfortable in crowds, equally so with booze thanks to stories about his absent father, Michael paid careful attention to the look of pure relaxation and satisfaction on the faces of the guys on the hall as they came dragging themselves back in the wee hours of the morning after spending the night *elsewhere*.

Sex was the hot ticket and Michael wanted to have a stub in his pocket like all the other guys.

Four weeks of latching onto one after another willing eager girl, ones that looked good ... felt good in his arms... but never made the grade, he in infrustration - tossing in the towel altoegther for the moment - began spending most of his weekends in library studying to avoid what he didn't seem to be able to get right.

They say you find what your looking for when you stop looking...

...And that is exactly how Michael found Simone, also hiding -- a girl with a brain can only take so much hair, make up and warbdrobe planning -- from the girls in her hall.

Simone was beautiful, smart, funny and real.

Unlike all the girls he'd tried before she stimulated everything about him... mind, body and soul.

The connection was powerful, sudden and irresistable.

While Linc had a point Michael figured he didn' t have it quite right... and perhaps there was a bit more to it all than simply getting laid.

Michael, thinker that he was and always will be, set his sights on finding the real answer, which he found quickly in thick dark hair and warm brown eyes that met his gaze unflinchingly over a library table night after night.

While the other guys spent their weekends chasing one girl after another, hardly stopping to ask their name, Michael found something better by sharing his thoughts, his dreams, and his bed - wrapped blissfully together under the sheets - with an amazing girl named Simone he'll never ever forget.
