Not having internet on the weekends really blows. So I play catch up on Mondays, which is fine except my f-list is huge and so very talented so I have million things to read. But then I have to work as well. You know because my priorities are in order. Really though it mostly blows because I'm like bored at home because it's so cold and we are so poor (and I mean poor in the middle class sense really we are not starving). And Jay sleeps like all day. I swear he slept like 16 hours on Saturday. I'd cut him some slack if he was working nights still. No, he's been off for a few days so he should have been up entertaining me. :-)
Anyway, let me stop bitching. I'm pretty sure I'm not with my PBFE. Now I just have to send it to my beta. I hope it doesn't get ripped to shreds.

Did anyone watch this Friday night? Because nothing else was on, we watched it. I swear I could win a million dollars on these types of show since I'm a warehouse of useless information. Anyway, the guy that won? You would've thought that Jay and I knew the guy. We were so happy for him. It was ridiculous.

Tim + baby = my ovaries will never be the same.
Damn, Tim can’t catch a break. If I were Tim, I’d be so pissed that Coach would even think I’m capable of that. I mean Tim may be a lot of things but he’s wouldn’t do something like that, which is to take advantage of Julie right at all let alone in Coach's house. Tim is either going to spiral downward, thinking what’s the point in trying to be better if you get kicked down every time. Or he’s going to get stronger from every kick. (And can I just say Billy sucks because he hasn't as far as we know come looking for Tim. And why can't Tim go stay with Jason? I mean really writers? Really?)
I was really enjoying the father-son relationship they were building. Fixing the cable. Playing ping-pong. Made of awesome. Absolute perfection. PER. FEC. TION. I mean I want to kick Coach's ass and I love Coach. I mean the whole dynamic that was set up in the house was wonderful. I'm so pissed at the writers for giving us that gem and then yanking it from us. So cruel.
I’ll forgive Julie her ‘let him go’ spiel because she was drunk. I hope she takes Landry’s advice. I need one of my ships to be work out besides Eric/Tami.
From the previews, I was really thinking it was going to be some Tim/Julie stuff. Thank goodness there was none. I think that would be pushing it. I think big bro/lil sis thing is fine for them. ("I will end you."/"No, seriously, that way.")
I knew that Tyra cared for Landry but I wasn’t quite sure if she loves him. I’m still not sure. I do know that her feelings are crazy as they should be. I really wonder if their relationship had of progressed romantically if the murder hadn’t happened. I’m so glad Landry stuck up for himself. I heart him. His talk with Julie in the library cracked me up. (Um, why was Lois so rude? Did I miss something?) And I can't believe Tyra actually went to the dance with that guy. That seemed out of character to me.
Tami is just putting her foot in her mouth lately. I do get what she was saying about Shelly with Tim. I just think she was taking it too seriously. It seemed pretty harmless to me. Oh and Tami, how about you give a damn about where Tim lives like you did with Santiago, who by the way was dorky but in a cute way in his backpack. It made me smile.)
Last season, I really didn’t like Buddy. This season I really feel for the guy. I kinda wanted his ex-wife to take him back. I think his ex-wife seriously was not thinking of her daughter when she told Lyla right before she had to go to school. That really bothers me because you just don’t do that. How long has it been since she got divorced? Seems awfully fast. Speaking of telling someone some news, Lyla should’ve asked did her dad know before she brought it up.
Now that that is out of the way, let’s get to the shallow. Tim looked so good throughout the entire episode. Like WHOA!! Did you see those guns during the locker room scene? With that scene? That vein in his right arm?
Coach was hot when it got all angry. And he was so cute when he was at the laundry mat. His facial expression was priceless.

I saw
this story. I'll admit that I may be overly sensitive to this issue, which usually isn't an issue for me. This is just my gut reaction. Seriously bothers me that he’s turning white. For one, he’s not black. If I pick up a black sharpie or a crayon and put it next to his face to do a comparison, there is none. The same thing would happen if I put a white crayon up to his skin that has changed pigmentation.
Two, being black or white is not about skin color. Sure, it makes it easier as far as being easily identifiable. But even then, that can be wrong. For instance, the first time I saw Jay, I thought he was white. He identifies as black. So there you go.
Growing up where I grew up and being one of the few black people in my classes, I’ve had a lot of time to think about race issues. So basically, I really don’t like to use the terms black and white to describe people because the terms are just vastly inadequate. But like a lot of people, it’s so ingrained in me that I slip up a lot.
I may be reading way more into this story than is there since I really don’t get the feeling that this is about his racial identity although I do think that is part of it since race was brought up in the interview. He knows he isn’t turning white. Like he’s not going to stop liking fried chicken and watermelon. I kid. You know what I’m saying. I can’t really even say if he was turning white, what he’d start to like and dislike because what makes someone white or black or yellow or red as far as likes and dislikes?
I mean if I turned about five shades lighter and my hair was bone straight, I’d still be black, right?
I love public television because you to get find out
about things they don't put on regular TV.
