Day 2.1
[Earth]
A couple of minutes ago, I was watching two butterflies chasing each other from my computer room window, and It was adorable. I just took a moment to look around at how beautiful the Earth is, and I realized how much we take it for granted.
People don't realize that this planet that we live on is all we've got. Everyone thinks that everything will just be okay, and someone else will take care of the problems for you. You're part of the survival of the planet just as much as anyone else.
Okay, so you recycle. Of course, it doesn't take you any effort, because there's usually a recycling bin right next to a garbage can. I'm not saying that you aren't helping the Earth when you recycle, and I understand that you could just have easily thrown your bottle in the garbage can, but come on. You can do so much more.
This generation is wasted youth. We're always too busy sitting on our asses in front of a television, or talking on our cellphones, and yes, I say our. I understand that technology is a huge and helpful thing, but do we really need to be attached to it 24/7? I will admit, that I love Facebook, I love texting, and most of my hobbies (like photography) wouldn't be possible without the use of technology, but we can use technology to make the world a better place. I mean we already are, but we can use the influence of Facebook to get people to do things and whatnot.
I really don't want to sound like all I care about is Earth, and we shouldn't use electricity or anything like that, but people seriously need to open their eyes.
This is where we live. This is our future, and this is our past.
Everywhere I walk it seems like all I see is garbage. Are you really that lazy that you can't take 5 steps and just throw it in the garbage? Seriously people. This is sickening. Do you want to be remembered as the generation that screwed everything up? Well actually, you probably won't be remembered when Earth is gone.
So just keep ignoring everything. Keep littering. You're really fucking cool. [[And you'll be even cooler when you're dead.]]
