Junghwan needed a new hobby. During B1A4’s time off, everyone had something to do, except him. Jinyoung had composing music, Shinwoo had dancing, Sunwoo had lyric writing (not to mention torturing Junghwan) and Chanshik had his biting things… thing.
After watching a random program about art on television one early morning, Junghwan decided that his hobby would be painting. He went out and bought all the necessary supplies: paint, brushes and an easel. At first, he tried to paint his surrounding scenery, but became bored after five minutes, because it didn’t move. Obviously, his calling was in painting portraits! Who wanted to buy a painting of the sun anyway?
But painting pictures of his members didn’t turn out much better. Sunwoo and Chanshik moved a little bit too much for his liking and Shinwoo didn’t move enough, plus he started blushing almost immediately and ran off, muttering about needing to clean something. Junghwan was on the verge of giving up, but then he remembered there was still one other person in the group… “Jinyoungie-hyung!” Junghwan cooed, while batting his lashes, giving his best aegyo (he had even practiced in the mirror).
Not even looking up from the book he was reading, Jinyoung replied, “What do you want?” He knew better than to think that Junghwan wanted a normal conversation. We just had lunch fifteen minutes ago… surely he can’t be hungry again, Jinyoung thought to himself.
In response, Junghwan made mocking faces behind his dear leader’s back. “You’re so rude, hyung, I just want to talk to you… about something.” He latched on to his hand, smiling adoringly.
Jinyoung looked sideways for a millisecond then went back to his book. He flipped a page, before sighing, “Please get to the point. What. Do. You. Want?”
Immediately, Junghwan became irritated and somewhat jealous (if he was Chanshik, Jinyoung would respond quickly and nicely! Hmph!), “Letmepaintapictureofyou.”
The older male blinked. Then blinked again. And again. Then a few more times. “Alright. Where do you want to do it? Here?” He looked around, trying to decide if the living room was a good enough spot to capture his face on canvas.
Feeling confused as to why Jinyoung accepted his offer without question, he asked, “What… Just like that? You’re gonna say yes?”
“Well… yeah? Is there any reason why I shouldn’t? I mean, it’s not like you want to paint me naked, do you?” They both laughed awkwardly. The sad thing was that Jinyoung would do it, if Junghwan asked him to. He thought he was good looking enough to be captured in such a way.
Slightly blushing, Junghwan shook his head. He didn’t think he was quite at the nude portrait level yet (he told himself firmly that he would never get to that level). “I think here would be fine, there’s a nice lighting in here, it makes your face look nice.”
Jinyoung thought well, duh, of course it does, and made himself useful by dragging a chair from the kitchen to the specified spot, while Junghwan set up his easel. He sat down on the chair, trying to make his face look as nice as possible and wondered how to make his v line stand out more.
“Hyung, this is going to come out better than the Mona Lisa! Please anticipate my future as a world renowned artist!” Jinyoung rolled his eyes, as Junghwan placed his paint covered brush on the tip of his chin (he had dipped the brush into the paint already but promptly forgot, like he did with most things), thinking about what the best way to start was. Laughs erupted from the leader, as black paint covered the younger singer’s chin. “Why are you laughing at my ambitions? Hyung is so mean!” Junghwan pouted, wanting to give up already.
Feeling bad, Jinyoung shook his hands and stammered, “N-no, it’s not that, I’m sure you paint really nice, it’s just that that you - Oh here, let me get it for you.” He got up and dabbed at Junghwan’s chin, with the sleeve of his shirt, that was black and also just a lounging shirt, so he didn’t mind if it got messed up. “There, all clean and ready to paint your masterpiece~” Jinyoung gave one of his cute eyesmiles that made Junghwan feel instantly at ease.
His leader’s kind words invigorated Junghwan and he was ready to take on the world again, “Don’t worry, hyung, I will paint you to look prettier than you already are!” He swung his brush around enthusiastically, not realizing that it was flicking paint on his subject. It wasn’t until Jinyoung sighed irritably, that Junghwan noticed. “O-oops… sorry about that, hyung,” he whispered in the tiniest possible voice he could muster, trying to grab at Jinyoung’s shirt and dab the paint off his face. This caused quite a bit of skin to be revealed and before he knew it, he was staring and blushing. Thankfully, Jinyoung was blushing too, not to mention biting his lip like he did in all his photos to seem seductive to their fans, otherwise he would have felt silly.
Then quicker than Junghwan could shut his eyes, Jinyoung pressed his lips against his. He cradled the younger male’s face in his beautiful hands and closed the space between them, by standing in between Junghwan’s spread legs, who was still sitting. Their lips moved perfectly together and Jinyoung brushed his tongue against Junghwan’s hungrily. After quite a few moments of licking, nipping and sucking, they pulled apart, giggling at the smudged paint that adorned both their faces.
The completed painting, which consisted of nothing but a stick figure and some blotted spots, was hung up on the front of the refrigerator for everyone to gaze upon (and make fun of). It was signed, ‘Lee Sandeul, age 22’.
