We're throwing another Creative Bent get together for anyone who wants to come down, be creative, have a drink & such.
It's free, it's laid-back & unpretentious. As always we love to see new faces so heres an open invite to anyone who wants to come along & give it a crack at making an album cover. (materials provided but it helps to bring more)

Creative Bent #19 - Record Breakers
It’s 2009 and Creative Bent is back and ready to to kick it crazy styles with another year of mad cap adventures! First up we’re thumbing our noses at the digital revolution and focusing on an art form that is truly in danger of extinction - The Album Cover!
Iconic, groundbreaking, controversial, you name it there’s been an album cover for every occassion. What about Ripper ‘82 with the hot girl’s bum in denim shorts? How could the world possibly exist without such creative genius?
That’s why for the first Creative Bent of the year, we’re asking our friends to get together and help us recreate some of history’s finest works of art. Whether you’re into photography, illustration, sculpture or even interpretive dance (what? it’s an art form!) come rock out with your rooster out as we kick out the jams on the first Thursday in March. And if you can’t think of an album cover to play with, then just dress yourself up in vinyl, spin around really, really fast and we’ll stick a needle in you until music comes out. Woo!
Of course, Creative Bent can never achieve its artistic brilliance alone. That’s why we’ve asked our cooler than cool friends at Modular to rev up the RPMs with some awesome prizes. With a label behind some impressive names such as The Presets, Ladyhawke, and Cut Copy just to mention a few, you can be assured the prize packs are bound to start a judging riot. Sweet!
And if that’s nor enough to get you all happy in the pants then wait until you see the amazing location we’ve blagged. It’s the brand spanking new Third Floor of mag nation, and awesome space dedicated to all things design and pop culture. It may be a little hard to find, but once you get there you may find yourself a little hard. Teehee!
