Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Keep in mind...this is North Carolina where it hardly ever snows in my part of the state. I'm guessing school will be closed at least Monday if we get what they're forecasting.
Winter Storm Warning in effect from 6 PM this evening to 6 PM EST Saturday...

Today
Mostly cloudy. A chance of snow and rain this afternoon. Cooler with highs in the mid 40s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 30 percent.

Tonight
Snow. Snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches. Ice accumulation of up to a tenth of an inch. Lows in the upper 20s. Northeast winds around 5 mph...increasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Chance of snow near 100 percent.

Saturday Night
Mostly cloudy. A chance of snow...freezing rain and sleet likely in the evening. Little or no additional snow accumulation. Cold with lows around 16. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent
.
Sunday
Sunny. Highs in the upper 30s. West winds around 5 mph.

Sunday Night and Monday
Mostly clear. Lows around 10 above. Highs in the lower 40s.

Doesn't look like it'll start melting much til perhaps Monday or Tuesday (when it's supposed to possibly rain and get up into the mid-40s). I hope we get all this snow even though the power might go out with the ice and snow on the power lines. The kids would have a blast. :) The most snow we've had at one time since we moved here 2 years ago was last March 2nd when we got 4 inches and schools were closed for 3 days.

I'll be heading out this morning or this afternoon for bottled water (if the power goes out so does our well) and food that doesn't need to be cooked...just in case. I figure a couple of rotisserie chickens and some deli meat and fruit and so on will do the trick. At least if the power goes out it'll be cold enough outside to keep food cold so I won't lose too much stuff from the fridge and freezers. Yay for Wisconsin weather in North Carolina! hehe :)
