Max's first Weird Al concert

Last night, Max, in his cute little Hawaiian shirt, got to see his very first Weird Al concert.  Now normally taking an 8 month old to an Al show is probably not the best idea since the speakers can be VERY loud and lots of bright spotlights are flashing everywhere, but we were well prepared.  Niki had the foresight to purchase one of these Peltor Kids Earphones long ago and they worked beautifully at protecting Max's ears.   Second, we were fully willing to sit out in the lobby should the experience be too much for him, and if things get really bad, head home.

The outcome?  Max got to enjoy the first half the show.  He was even laughing while watching Al sing "It's All About the Pentiums".   After a while, he got a little sweaty from wearing the headphones and needed a changing.  So Niki and I took turns listening in from the lobby on a comfy couch while Max cheerfully played with the assorted toys we brought.  We did bring Max, happy and refreshed, back inside for Al's final song of the night and then took him into the meet 'n greet after the show.   Max got to see Al, Steve Jay (bassist), and Bermuda (drummer).  I have some very cute pics of Al interacting with Max, which will be posted in a few days.

All in all, we couldn't be happier.  Everything went as well as expected, and Max got to meet the man who, well, is indirectly responsible for his existence.   heh.
