Bacchus Bless America...and quit bogartin' it, man!

Since most everyone else seems too busy yammering about some dead rich legal-system-buyoff pedophile freakshow, I thought I'd make a shout-out regarding the US pullback from Iraqi cities/towns/combat zones. For me and everyone else close to trevelyan_006, this July 4 already had something big to celebrate, namely his combat tour being over/subsequent leave. Now that goes for the rest of you, so let's hope this stays on the right track outa there, and drink up come the fourth. I've never supported/agreed with/bought a single argument of virtue or necessity in this war, and frankly plenty of the soldiers I've talked to who've been through it don't either, but regardless, a big congrats to everyone who's made it through the sick fuckin' mess alive, and best of luck to the Iraqi people at gettin' it an' keepin' it on track sans foreign occupation. *knocks on wood* J-4'll be most fun if you know a returned soldier who knows how to make his own explosives fireworks.

More news soon about writing/publication/life/etc.

edit: Wow... I think I just managed to say what I wanted and touch on one or two of the many complicated, conflicted emotional responses/opinions I'm far from alone in feeling, without a single insufferable pop-sentiment platitude (other than the long-overdo skewing in the subline).
