Thursday::
Paid $4 for a cabride to the Long Island RR station that ended up being 3 minutes away. Met Kat at Penn, and after a quick reunion hug, we went back to her brownstone in Brooklyn. What a gorgeous house she has! :) We watched "Two Weeks Notice," helped her brother Noah move out, met her friend Kaz and Kaz's mom to go to an exhibition opening at the American Museum of Moving Image. The exhibit was small but really awesome: there was this rectangular flowing river in a rockbed that had projected sentences floating along the water as well. Got back around 10, watched Kat's debut 8th grade performance in Poly Prep's Production of "Once Upon A Mattress." SLEEP!
Friday::
We went to lunch at Cafe Lulu's (good omelette), got a custard italian ice (cheap!), took a picture of Angry Wade's (for Matt Wade) and explored her neighborhood. Met her friend Suzanne for the metro ride back to LIRR.
Friday night: Alissa charged me money for her to pick me up in Northport just to have dinner at La Piazza with disgusting Brianna Wooley and hear her bitch about how she's fat and wants to lose weight for three hours.
Saturday::
An amazing day! Met up with Alex at Penn at 4:30. We went to Patelsons near Carnegie Hall and browsed for sheet music. Neither of us bought anything, of course. Then we went to the new Time Warner Center shops and Alex bought new J. Crew flip flops b/c the ones he had on didnt match his outfit quite right. Checked out student tickets for Lorin Maazel's last performance at Lincoln Center. Walked (and smoked illegally) through Central Park where I taught Alex to say "Je suis tourist francais" just as we passed by some french tourists. We stopped by Alliance Francais but they were closed. / We went to Mama Mexico, where on the metroride there was this guy who dressed really well (just a note), and met up with Ali and Hillz! Awesome dinner with awesome margaritas and sangria. Walked to E. 88th to a party at Marty O'Briens. $20 open bar, seemed like a good idea at the time. Met Hillary's friends from school and their friends from Duke (I can't remember all their names but I do remember Nina, Liz, the Liz that was hitting on Alex, and Chris with the green Lacoste polo). Ali was macking it up with some LI guys and Alex and I left at 12:45 only to miss our train to Plandome (where his car is) by one minute. Took some random train planning to go to Mineola but got off at Rockville Center. The nausea in my stomach let loose... three times on the sidewalks of the train station. Felt a lot better after that. We waited for a cab for 45 minutes, paid $40 to go to Plandome and finally went to sleep around 5. All in all, a great day! :)
