oh boy i'm busy!
just a few days until bazaar bizarre, should be fun. i have yet to stock up on inventory but things are crazy right now. i suppose it'll have to wait until the last minute this time around. i need a diversion, which brings me to fun photos from my trip back in october. seems like so long ago...
we began our trip at the monterey bay aquarium. this was our first trip there, and we were impressed most by the sea otters in the actual bay outside. seemed strange to watch wild sea otters at play when their relatives lived in captivity just a couple hundred feet away. below is a photo of some beautiful jellyfish:
later on our journey we stopped by my dear friend alli's place in st. louis. this was our 2nd time to that city, and another quick visit. still no tour of the arch. is it worth it? it seems so impressive, engineering-wise. yes, so my friend alli owns
alli's oddities, where she makes these odd creatures, sculptures & other bizarre goods. she's incredibly talented and one of the most creatively driven people i know. below is an image of her in her warehouse space:
the space was huge! i can only hope for something like that (whenever we find a place of our own, that is!). right now, being set up in the basement, it's better than our space in la. but i've got dreams of a bright space with (cough!) lots of ventilation.
alright, diversion is ending. right now it's back to some serious working...
