(no subject)
I still haven't quit my job.
I went on a run this morning before class. It's kind of nice to run, especially when you get the whole fresh feeling. Something enlivens me when I run. The rest of the time, i feel asleep when I go to work and lecture.
I went to the lab today to learn Brdu assay technique. My grad student said that it would take around 3 1/2 hours...but of course, since I'm new and I don't understand what's going on...we were still in the lab until 6. But it was fine. I'm learning a lot. And my grad student is Greek, so I get to hear about a whole different culture.
My Friday night was relaxing. I met up with Sascha (my German foreign student) and Yan Min to watch "A History of Violence." It was more gore than I expected, personally one shot off nose is enough for me. And between the random sex scenes...I don't think I'd see the movie again. Sascha asked if he could bring snacks and drinks...and I'm like sure, as long as you can sneak it in. Of course, the drink is not like coke or sprite, but red wine--which makes sense cause he's European. So that was hilarious...and of course he takes out his tiny bottle of wine right at the serious part in the movie. so I'm cracking up. Ate and talked afterwards. it's nice to be actually out and about rather than staying all by my lonesome in the apartment.
