I thought I use to have a brown thumb, but now all my precious mechanical devices are dying. First it was my lovely 1992 Honda Accord which now rests in pieces. Of course I'm not so sad about it now that we have the new 1995 Honda Civic. That Civic makes my Sentra seem like a gas guzzler with its very impressive 36 MPG city. I wanna learn how to drive a stick now... The only thing I really miss about the Accord now is the sunroof. But that's old news. My newest death is very sad indeed. My Xbox 360 is terminally ill. Dead. Unplugging and replugging did not work. Only a year old... So I had to call 1-800-4MY-XBOX. I have to admit that Microsoft impressed me with this one. The voice activation thingy that Microsoft loves to implement didn't piss me off as much as it normally does. When I did get a customer service agent on the line he was very polite, not condescending (unlike Gateway), and actually helpful. So in three to five days I will receive a box. I put good 'ol dead Xbox 360 in its coffin and ship it back (they're supplying a label so I don't have to pay for shipping). Within two weeks I will receive my replacement. I was thrilled with how easy and painless this has been so far. It's nice getting customer service instead of customer no-service every once in a while.
