Life Is Change
Is this thing on? *tap tap* Wow. Looks like I haven't posted here since 2006. So much has changed since then! My old girls, feline friends Jasmine and Selina, were both stricken with cancer within six months of one another and had to be put to sleep. Before I thought I was ready for it a stray cat showed up under our front porch and I took her in and named her Olive. And on a whim we got her a friend, a shelter cat named "Fire" who we renamed Freddy. The now ex-husband and I split up that year. And eventually divorced - on Valentine's Day 2008! - but have managed to remain friendly. A few men have come and gone since. I fell in love and had my heart broken last year and now there are no men. I've kicked the habit. For now. This is the longest break I've taken from the dudes in years.
Some things remain the same, thankfully. My son is still awesome (though now in the double digits). I'm still working at Clockwork (the best job I've ever had). And we're still in the house in St. Paul, for better or for worse. And I continue to post regularly to http://www.massdistraction.org (weapons of mass distraction) though I've been pondering a blog name change. In addition to all that personal blathering I've started a professional photography blog over at http://www.sharynshoots.com
