Don't be silly! The mice are an integral part of the kitchen system! Not only do they keep the floors neat and tidy by licking up ev'ry crumb, but they provide a beautiful chorus of gentle ariettas! Why, the kitchen simply would not work without the mice!

....Watanuki, dear, I know that you and the mice have a somewhat...ominous relationship, but perhaps you could just be a teensybit more careful with your words? They are, after all, very tiny little creatures, and their feelings are fragile and easily-hurt! Don't you think that calling them disgusting might be just the tiniest bit cruel?

I'm sure that nobody really wants the mice to leave the kitchen. That would just be silly!

Look. The mice themselves are not so bad. But I am sicksqueaking when I am trying to cook! This is a high-class kitchen and people don't like it when their soup smells like rodent! In other places kitchens get shut down for that!

And I shall have you know that they are extremely clean creatures, and they smell simply lovely. And I have never ever once heard of a kitchen being shut down because it had the good fortune to be populated by mice!

Well, let's see -- back in Erealia I did clean the kitchens, so this would make....three! Yes, three! Although the first two were sadly lacking in mice; the cooks didn't seem to like them much. I'm sure they would've been much cheerier with little rodent friends scampering about on tiny adorable feet!

Well, mice have never been welcome in any kitchen I've worked in! Once, there were so many that they shut the whole place down! Whether or not you like the mice, people who eat the food that comes out of the galley don't!
