So we ended up in Napa Valley. We tought for two days, to try a couple of wines and head to San Francisco. We stayed 5 full days and could stay another week if not the plane back. Beside the big famous wineries (they're good, really good), there are also small wineries, making awesome, wonderful, magic wines : AUM and Black Cordon. Not the simple sweet-fruit to please the wine ignorants : they have full, strong, subtile, beautiful, original wines; long and changing in mouth, perfect texture, nice wood and well, very pleasing taste. -*for real wine tasting, please ask la_marmotte, not me ;) - Much of it is organic. So, another reminder that yes, americans do some wine and it's soooo good.
We had a wonderful time there, maybe the wine, maybe the (new) friends. Something was happening there...
Here's the panorama from Black Cordon; where the wine maker spent the afternoon chating with us (
