Decoymusic.com was asking for writers this past week. I visit that website several times a day mainly because they have a lot of good music updates and news. I have sent in my interest in writing for them before when they advertised it but I never really heard anything back. So I saw the advertisement again yesterday and decided to try again. This time I mentioned everything I've written about and what my background was. Literally in a matter of an hour I got an email back saying, "You sound exactly what I'm looking for." So right away he sent me the new Alaska and Me EP to review for them by next week. Its weird thinking what I write about this band will have an actual impact on the readers of this site. I had a few conversations with the editor about it all and he seems like a pretty cool guy. Certainly very busy. All the conversations have been over AIM which is weird for me because I hate being on there.
Still have no job though, but I more excited about this opportunity.
I just read a story about a man who was watching a Christmas viewing of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." Apparently a father and son next to him were chatting during the movie and he began to become aggravated. He told them to stop and apparently threw popcorn at the kid. I don't know if that's because the kid was closest to him or because he wanted to pick on the littlest person, but I still think it was pretty juvenile of him. Then the father confronted him about it, so the other guy just shot him. The gun shot made everyone run out of the theater, so after he put his gun back in his pocket, the man sat down and finished watching the rest of the movie. I mean, I guess I can understand where the guy was coming from...
It is really annoying when people talk during a movie.
