guess what...
I'M ENGAGED!!!!
As of last night... here's the story (some of you may have received emails about this already...)
We were at his Celina's (his hometown) lake festival, and there was a big fireworks show. We didn't bring any chairs or blankets, so we sat on this big rock on the edge of the lake, which was nice because we couldn't see any other people, and we had a great view of the fireworks. His aunt and sister were sitting on a blanket behind us. About halfway through the fireworks show, he started whispering in my ear about how much he loved me and what an amazing connection we have and how he wants to spend the rest of his life with me, then he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. And of course, I said YES!!!!! Then we hugged and kissed and the people sitting behind us started cheering, Then we sat and watched the rest of the fireworks. When we went to his parents' house afterwords, they had gotten us a bottle of champagne and a little cake to celebrate.
We haven't made any plans for a wedding yet- we're probably going to do it in two years after I've graduated, so that we have time to save up some money and plan the wedding.
