Remote Coverings
This tip is kind of a throw-back to when people were covering their sofas with plastic back in the 50s or 60s...lol
But, I hate dusting these things and they always have food or whatever stuck to them it seems (esp. with kids), and it works well for me so I thought I'd share...
I take clear, plastic sandwich bags and either drop-in or stretch-in the TV, DVD,and VCR remotes. I trim the bags and pull the plastic neatly and tightly around the remote and tape to the back with clear postage tape. :o) Oh, and the plastic also keeps the sliding door on over the batteries (and in some cases the batteries in the remote too) when it gets thrown around. :o)
I know some may find this tip weird, but who includes remotes in their decor anyway? ;o)
