At some point in the middle of the night, Beebs showed up at my bedside and told me that he had sicked a circle on his floor. I didn't really believe him because he never sicks on the floor anymore. And because I did not want to get out of bed and deal with it. But I drug myself out of my covers, down the stairs and into his bedroom where I saw a perfect vomit circle on the floor next to his bed.
I hurried upstairs for the baking soda and as i opened the door to the towel closet I was suddenly immediately aware that I was about to join the sick party. I dropped everything and dashed to the bathroom where I tossed the rug out of my way and pressed my face to the cold linoleum. Months of morning sickness has taught me many tips and tricks and cold linoleum to the face is an excellent vomit deterrent. I lay there for a moment as waves of nausea washed over me and I started sweating profusely. Not a good sign. I didn't say my tricks were fool proof. Suddenly, the room started spinning, I could hear a loud rushing sound in my ears, and tunnel vision. I fought it with all of my strength and then I totally passed out. I have no clue how long I was out though, maybe a few seconds or a minute. I felt a little better afterward and I still had Beebs to take care of.
I made my way carefully down the stairs and into his room where he waited patiently. I dashed a pile of baking soda over the vomit circle, covered it with a towel and changed his bedding. I could feel my own sickness returning with a vengeance and I rushed to Beebs' bathroom and face planted onto the cold floor. The desperation of the moment had me taking a very huge risk by putting any portion of my body anywhere on Beebs' bathroom floor. I didn't make it all the way in though and my legs were sticking out into the hallway where Beebs could see them and he chuckled. A few moments to recover and I told him goodnight and went back to bed.
Laying back in my own bed I felt fine and managed to get back to sleep for a couple of hours. Then Beebs was back. Seems he had thrown up again all over the towel that was already on the floor. I went down to assess the damage and found more bedding to be changed. Another sick moment for me. It hit me every time I stand up.
Beebs visited us one more time before his official wake up time asking for water. I begged Hubby to get it for him so that i wouldn't have to stand up and then be compelled to cuddle on the bathroom floor for ten minutes again. So he took care of the Beebs and I went back to sleep and dreaded the official start of morning where everyone would need my attention and services and Hubby would be at work.
So here we sit. Everyone is waffled and milked and sitting in front of Sesame Street. Beebs claims he's all better but he's acting mopey and whiny. Just like me. Doodimus was sick two nights ago so I'm pretty sure he's in the clear. Munchkee should be joining the sick party any minute now. Should be fun.
