To read

Every once in a while when a person reads a book you recognize yourself in the characters and maybe even thinks; Hey, but I'm exactly like that person. And you may even feel as one with the person. But then we're always talking about the positive about the characters. That's grate, to find a person who is like you and acts like you. Especially if you have a bad day it may help to know that it exists other persons like you though it is only a person in fiction.
But what about when you recognize yourself in the negative of the persons? Does this mean you really are self aware(I'm not sure if that's how you say å ha selvinnsikt)? Or does it mean that you're plain negative?
My opinion is that if you always find your negative sides in the characters, and only the negative, you are being way to negative. You have to think something good about yourself. You can't be that manipulative, evil minded, jalousie, ugly, stupid, shallow minded, so on and so forth. I could keep this going for ages but I think I've made my point. But I may agree that you are self aware. But that's only to a certain extent because if you accuse yourself of having to many of the negative abilities as the character you only dig your own grave and become negative. And it can't come anything good out of becoming a negative person.

selfaware, books, negative, recognize yourself in characters
